You make the reasonable assessment that the house will give you the most cover from bullets. So you run in a wide arc with the gunman after you and manage to enter the mansion at a side entrance. You are faster than the gunman and have time to catch your breath for a moment. When you do, you suddenly are seized from behind by what appears to be a mummy. Within seconds it grabs your head with both hands, lifts you up as if you were a rag doll, and violently shakes you. The first three shakes render you unconscious, the fifth one kills you, and the seventh one tears your head from your body. You die a noble death protecting your Doctor. But you are still dead.
